This year, our Safe School Summit will be a focused conversation on initiatives that address trauma, drug endangered children and keeping our school communities safe.
On November 16, from 9 a.m. to noon, there’ll be a virtual training “Handle With Care: Community Conversations and Engagement,” as we look to implement this trauma-informed program that provides schools and care agencies with a “heads up” when a child has been identified at the scene of a traumatic event.
There will be Handle With Care program leaders speaking and a panel discussion with school and law enforcement professionals concerning their experience in implementing Handle With Care.
This Summit is for professionals who work with youth.
