WORCESTER — Today, 32-year-old Christopher P. Tetreault pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter in the 2021 killing of 54-year-old Paul T. Weaver, of Milford, who was found dead inside a Milford storage locker in 2021, according to Worcester County District Attorney Joseph D. Early, Jr.
Mr. Tetreault was sentenced to serve 15-18 years in prison on the voluntary manslaughter conviction. He also pleaded guilty to two counts of larceny from a building and was sentenced to serve two concurrent 2-3-year prison sentences.
On August 17, 2021, Mr. Weaver’s body was found inside his storage locker at a storage facility on Beach Street in Milford. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner performed an autopsy, determined that Mr. Weaver died of multiple stab wounds, and ruled the death a homicide. Some of Mr. Weaver’s personal property was also missing from the scene.
On August 24, 2021, Mr. Tetreault was apprehended in Charlottesville, Virginia, by members of the Mass. State Police Detectives assigned to the Worcester County District Attorney’s Office, the Milford Police Department, and the Virginia State Police. He was returned to Massachusetts and arraigned in Milford District Court at that time, and indicted by a Worcester County Grand Jury on September 24, 2021.
“It is our hope that this plea provides some closure to Mr. Weaver’s family after this tragedy,” said Mr. Early. “I want to thank Senior First Assistant District Attorney Jeffrey Travers, Assistant District Attorney Louis Tosches, and Victim Witness Advocate Maria Deyette for their exceptional work on this case.”
Mr. Early also thanked the law enforcement agencies who worked on this case, including the Milford Police Department, Mass. State Police Detectives assigned to the Worcester County District Attorney’s Office, Mass. State Police Crime Lab, Mass. State Police Crime Scene Services, Mass. State Police Special Emergency Response Team (SERT), Mass. State Police Technical Services, the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, and the Virginia State Police.
