CLINTON – A 15-year-old girl, reported missing late Friday night, was found dead today in a small body of water behind the HannafordPlaza on Brook Street, according to Worcester District Attorney Joseph D. Early Jr.

The preliminary investigation revealed that Mackenzie Hohl of 38 Webster St. was walking on the railroad tracks in a wooded area behind the plaza Friday night. She apparently fell between 20 and 30 feet from a wall and landed in the water.

The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will make a positive identification and determine the cause and manner of death.

The body was discovered shortly before 2 p.m. today by a Clinton man who was looking for her. Word that Miss Hohl was missing had spread through town and on social media sites.

No foul play is suspected . The State Police Detectives assigned to the Worcester County District Attorney’s Office and the Clinton Police are continuing to investigate.
