Worcester Man Charged with Trafficking Fentanyl

WORCESTER — A 28 year-old Worcester man was arrested for trafficking fentanyl and cocaine and two handguns were seized in an early morning raid at the suspect’s apartment, according to Worcester County District Attorney Joseph D. Early Jr.

State Police Detectives assigned to the District Attorney’s Office and Worcester Police vice squad officers executed a search warrant at 6 a.m. at 7A Gibbs St., Apartment 4, seizing 252 grams of what is believed to be fentanyl, 70 grams suspected cocaine along with other suspected drugs, materials used in the packaging and sale of narcotics, $14,049 in cash and the two guns.

Gilberto Elicier, 28, was arraigned in Central District Court this afternoon and was ordered held without bail pending a dangerousness hearing on Thursday. His bail was also revoked on an open case.

Mr. Elicier is charged with trafficking in fentanyl (200 grams or more), trafficking in cocaine (36 to 100 grams), possession with intent to distribute Oxycodone pills, possession with intent to distribute marijuana, illegal possession of ammunition and two counts of illegal possession of a firearm.
