SPENCER – A Worcester man was arraigned on a murder charge in East Brookfield District Court today in the death of a man whose body was found in Paxton in March, according to Worcester County District Attorney Joseph D. Early, Jr.
Christopher Fuller, 30, is charged with one count of murder in the death of Ernest A. Appiah, whose body was found in the woods off of Asnebumskit Road in Paxton on March 5. Appiah, a 29-year-old Worcester resident, was discovered deceased just before 7 a.m. after a resident called 911 to report a body about 25 feet into the wooded area off the road. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner later ruled Appiah’s death a homicide.
Appiah had been shot in the torso.
Fuller was arrested at a Worcester residence on Monday without incident. He was arraigned in East Brookfield District Court, currently holding sessions in Spencer, on Tuesday and held without bail.
Fuller is due back in court on Aug. 12.
An investigation by the State Police Detectives assigned to the Worcester County District Attorney’s Office resulted in the murder charge against Fuller.
The Paxton Police Department, State Police Crime Scene Services and Crime Lab, State Police K-9 Unit, and the State Police Special Emergency Response Team (SERT) also assisted with the investigation.
