Worcester Man Arraigned for Murder

WORCESTER — A 31-year-old Worcester man was ordered held without bail after being arraigned today in Superior Court in a fatal shooting on Aug. 16, according to Worcester County District Attorney Joseph D. Early Jr.

Robert Dupuis of 11 Doris St. is being charged with murder in the shooting of Quentin Jacobs-Hylton, 25, at 1 Stoneland Road. Mr. Dupuis is also charged with armed assault to rob, illegal possession of a loaded firearm and illegal possession of a firearm.

Two co-defendants were also arraigned today. Malek Matos, 34, of 2 Hitchcock Road, was ordered held without bail pending a dangerousness hearing on April 5. He is charged with armed assault to rob, assault and battery, illegal possession of a loaded firearm and illegal possession of a firearm. Leeann Santiago, 34, of 24 Water St., Clinton, was released on $5,000 bail after being arraigned on a charge of accessory to murder. Judge J. Gavin Reardon ordered her to be confined to her home and monitored with a GPS bracelet.

Judge Reardon continued the cases of all three defendants to May 25. A Worcester County grand jury indicted all three on March 19.

Worcester Police are investigating the shooting, and Assistant District Attorney Shayna L. Woodard is prosecuting the cases.
