Woman Dies After Struck by Train in Leominster

LEOMINSTER  State Police Detectives assigned to the Worcester County District Attorneys Office are investigating after a woman was struck and killed by a commuter rail train in Leominster Monday morning, according to Worcester County District Attorney Joseph D. Early Jr. 

At 11:16 a.m., a 20-year-old woman was struck by the train nearly a mile before the North Leominster MBTA station. She was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The name of the deceased will not be released at this time pending family notifications.

Detectives were assisted at the scene by State Police Crime Scene Services and Leominster Police. The investigation is ongoing.
