UXBRIDGE – The victim of Sunday night’s fatal crash has been identified as Robert M. Orcutt, 55, of 374 River Road, according to District Attorney Joseph D. Early Jr.
Mr. Orcutt was walking on Balm of Life Spring Road near River Road when he was struck by a tractor trailer driven by James J. Dean, 44, of 41 Farnum St., Blackstone, shortly before 7 p.m. The area of the crash is dimly lit and there is no sidewalk.
Mr. Orcutt lived in a nearby group home for mentally challenged individuals and had gone out for a walk around 6 p.m.
