FITCHBURG — Three men have been charged in the murder of a man at Blossom Street and Pie Alley on July 11, according to Worcester County District Attorney Joseph D. Early Jr.

Mugisha Jeanbosco, 22, of Worcester, is charged with murder and armed robbery with a firearm. Jason Robinson, 33, of Fitchburg and Jonathan Baez, 18, of Worcester are both charged with armed robbery and accessory after the fact of murder. All three are in custody on other charges. They are scheduled to be arraigned Monday in Fitchburg District Court.

Leon Wilson was shot shortly before 9 p.m. on July 11 near Blossom Street where it intersects with Pie Alley, a cut through that links Blossom Street and Day Street. He was transported to Leominster Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

“These arrests are a great example law enforcement working together to solve a terrible crime,” Mr. Early said. “The State Police Detectives assigned to my office and the Fitchburg Police were put together the evidence that led us to these charges.”

“I’m extremely pleased to hear that charges are forthcoming in this case,” said Fitchburg Police Chief Ernest Martineau. “While charges will not bring Leon Wilson back, they are one step closer to closure for the family and the community at large.”
