Third Adult Arraigned in Stabbing of Lifeguard

WORCESTER — A third Worcester man, charged in the beating and stabbing of a lifeguard at Bell Pond on the 4th of July, was ordered held without bail at his arraignment in Worcester Central District Court today, according to Worcester County District Attorney Joseph D. Early Jr.

Pedro Felix Camacho, 21, of 25 Queen St., Worcester, is charged with armed assault to murder. He was arrested by Worcester Police over the weekend. Judge Andrew Abdella scheduled a dangerousness hearing for Camacho for Wednesday.

The 17-year-old lifeguard was treated for his injuries at a local hospital.

Celestine Bigirimana, 22, and Mohamed Abdullahi, 19, both of Worcester were previously arraigned and will face dangerousness hearings tomorrow in Worcester Central District Court. Bigirimana is charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, resisting arrest, disturbing the peace, and disorderly conduct. Abdullahi is charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.

A juvenile is also charged in the case. Juvenile court proceedings are not public.
