WORCESTER – A suspect in the killing of a woman found dead in a burning car Wednesday night was arraigned on an intimidation of a witness charge today in Central District Court, according to Worcester County District Attorney Joseph D. Early Jr.
Thomas E. Hogan, 40, of 44 Montague St., Worcester, pleaded not guilty before Judge Thomas H. Estes Jr. who held Hogan on $3,000 bail. Hogan’s case was continued to Dec. 2 for a pre-trial conference.
Assistant District Attorney Terry J. McLaughlin had requested $50,000 bail. He explained to the judge that Hogan gave misleading statements to police about his contact with a woman found dead in a burning car on Swan Avenue late Wednesday night. McLaughlin told the judge Hogan is a suspect in the killing.
The victim has not been identified.
