WESTBOROUGH – A suspected burglar, who police believe has been working in several communities, was arrested last night in Shrewsbury and arraigned on multiple charges today in Westborough District Court, according to Worcester County District Attorney Joseph D. Early Jr.
Pedro D. Gomez, 51, of 32 Marble St., Worcester was charged with two counts of unarmed burglary, five counts of attempting to commit a crime and six counts malicious destruction of property over $250. Judge Vito A. Virzi held Gomez without bail and scheduled a dangerousness hearing for Tuesday.
“It was great cooperative police work that led to this arrest,” Mr. Early said. “A task force involving police from Shrewsbury, Millbury, Sutton, Worcester, Auburn and the state police detectives assigned to the Worcester County District Attorney’s Office, helped make the arrest.”
Mr. Gomez is a suspect in break-ins in Worcester, Millbury and Sutton. The investigation is continuing.
