WORCESTER — A Superior Court jury found Allen M. Stilkey, 41, of Douglas guilty of manslaughter today in the death of his wife last February, according to Worcester County District Attorney Joseph D. Early Jr.
Lisa A. Stilkey, 44, was found was outside the home she shared with her husband at 38 Gilboa St. She had plunged from a second-story window in what Mr. Early called, “a tragic case of domestic violence.”
Testimony in the trial indicated that she was trying to escape from her husband, who had threatened to kill her.
“The was a difficult case to prove,” Mr. Early. “I’m proud of the thorough and professional work by Assistant District Attorneys Brett Dillon and Elizabeth Brennan in getting this verdict.”
He also praised the State Police Detectives assigned to the District Attorney’s Office as well as Douglas Police.
Mr. Stilkey, who was also found guilty of threatening to commit a crime, will be sentenced by Superior Court Judge Richard Tucker on Friday. Mr. Stilkey is expected to plead guilty to possession of steroids at that time.
