WORCESTER – Stephanie Cruz has been indicted for murder in the stabbing death of her boyfriend in the apartment they shared in Leominster, according to Worcester County District Attorney Joseph D. Early Jr.
Cedric Taylor, 37, was found dead on the floor of 156 Water St., Apt. 3, after police responded to a 911 call from Ms. Cruz on the morning of June 11. Ms. Cruz, 28, told the police dispatcher that she had stabbed her boyfriend.
Police found a knife, the potential murder weapon, in the kitchen sink, according to Mr. Early.
Ms. Cruz, 28, was charged with murder and has been held without bail since her arraignment on June 11 in Leominster District Court.
A grand jury handed up the indictment today, and the case now moves to Worcester Superior Court where Ms. Cruz will be arraigned at a date to be determined.
