HOLDEN — The murder victim found on Reservoir Street early yesterday morning has been identified as a 22-year-old Worcester man, according to Worcester County District Attorney Joseph D. Early Jr.
Lennyn Valerio of 29 Acton St., Apt. 1, Worcester was found by a passerby at about 12:15 a.m. yesterday in the southbound travel lane of Reservoir Street. The victim was unresponsive. Holden Police and Emergency medical personnel responded. The victim was transported to the UMass Medical Center on Lake Avenue, Worcester where he was pronounced dead a short time later.
The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner has accepted the case and an autopsy will be conducted.
The State Police Detectives assigned to the Worcester County District Attorney’s Office are leading the investigation with the assistance of the Holden Police Department and Worcester Police Department.
Detectives are seeking the public’s help. Anyone who may have seen something suspicious in the area of Reservoir Street is asked to call the State Police Barracks in Holden at 508-829-8410.
No other information will be released at this time.
