WORCESTER – A Millbury man was arrested this week and charged possession with intent to distribute a class A drug (heroin) and possession with intent to distribute a class E drug (clonazepam), according to Worcester County District Attorney Joseph D. Early Jr.
Kevin Bruso, 39, of 26 Sutton Road, Millbury, was arrested Wednesday in the parking lot of Spectrum Health Care on Lincoln Street after he was approached by a State Police detective and a Worcester Police detective. He was found to be carrying 11 small bags containing a tan powder consistent with heroin, six blue pills, a cellphone and $220.
As a result of Bruso’s arrest, a search warrant was applied for and granted for his home at 12 South Main St., Apt. H, in Millbury and the Ford F350 truck he was operating. Surveillance of his address over the last several weeks indicated that Bruso had been conducting illegal drug sales from this apartment. A search of this apartment revealed paperwork for Bruso, cellphones, packaging materials, plastic bags with white residue, and what was alleged to be crib notes connected to illegal drug sales.
The arrest came after several weeks of investigation by the State Police Detectives assigned to Worcester County District Attorney’s Office. They were assisted by Worcester Police, Millbury Police and the State Police K-9 unit.
