LEOMINSTER– A 23-year-old, stabbed in his home last night, died from his wounds and his brother was arrested and charged with murder, according to Worcester County District Attorney Joseph D. Early.
Nathan J. Record was transported to the University of Massachusetts Health Alliance Hospital in Leominster where he died from a stab wound. The office of the Chief Medical Examiner has accepted the case and will perform an autopsy.
Timothy Record, 20, was apprehended by the Leominster Police at the family home at 20 Lakeshore Drive and was brought to the Leominster Police Station where he was questioned and later arrested. He will be arraigned on a murder charge today in Leominster District Court.
Leominster Police had responded to the residence after a 911 call at about 7:25 p.m. last night. The caller reported that a man had been stabbed.
State Police Detectives assigned to the Worcester County District Attorney’s Office and Leominster Police are investigating with assistance from the State Police Crime Scene Services, and the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner. Leominster Fire Department ambulance transported the victim.
