WORCESTER — Today, a Worcester man was sentenced to life in prison for the July 11, 2019, killing of 23-year-old Leon Wilson, Jr., of Fitchburg, in the area of Pie Alley in Fitchburg, according to Worcester County District Attorney Joseph D. Early, Jr.
Mugisha Jeanbosco, 27, was found guilty of first-degree murder by a Worcester Superior Court jury last week after a multiday trial. The first-degree murder conviction carries a mandatory life sentence without the possibility of parole.
The jury also convicted Jeanbosco of armed robbery. Judge Karin Bell sentenced Jeanbosco to serve 25 to 30 years in prison on that charge. The sentence will be served concurrently with the life sentence.
Two other people have also been charged in connection with the killing. Jason Robinson, 39, of Fitchburg, and Jonathan Baez, 25, of Worcester, were each charged with armed robbery and accessory after the fact of murder and were arraigned in Worcester Superior Court in March 2020. They are both scheduled to appear next in court on August 25, 2025.
