WORCESTER — A New Hampshire man has been indicted for murder in the July stabbing death of his ex-girlfriend at a local restaurant, according to Worcester County District Attorney Joseph D. Early Jr.
Carlos Asencio, 28 of Derry, N.H., was indicted today by a Worcester County
Grand Jury on charges of murder; and assault and battery dangerous weapon. At a previous hearing in Worcester Central District Court, Mr. Asencio was found not competent to stand trial and was sent to Bridgewater State Hospital for further evaluation.
At about 7:50 p.m. July 3, Mr. Asencio is alleged to have assaulted Amanda Dabrowski, 31, in O’Connor’s Restaurant on West Boylston Street. Worcester Police arrested Mr. Asencio after he was subdued by patrons and restaurant staff.
Mr. Asencio will be arraigned in Worcester Superior Court at a later date.
