LUNENBURG – A Lunenburg man, an apparent drowning victim, was discovered floating in Lake Shirley today, said Worcester County District Attorney, Joseph D. Early Jr.

Harry Underwood, 92, of 715 Reservoir Road was found approximately 10 feet off shore at 6:45 a.m. by a nearby resident. Lunenburg Fire and EMS responded to the scene and pulled the decedent onto the shore. There was nothing suspicious about the body.

The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner accepted the case.

Mr. Underwood lived directly across the cove from where he was discovered. Neighbors found his water-pedal bike floating in the cove at 3 p.m. yesterday; they assumed it had just gotten loose from the dock and later towed it back and secured it.
