GRAFTON – A 71-year-old man was arraigned in Westborough District Court this week on several charges including aggravated indecent assault and battery on a child under 14, according to Worcester County District Attorney Joseph D. Early Jr.
John G. Sousouris of 10 Robert Circle, Grafton was also charged with posing a child in a lascivious state and enticement of child under 16 for sex or violence. He pleaded not guilty before Judge Vito A. Virzi on Tuesday.
Assistant District Attorney Cheryl Riddle requested $100,000 bail. The judge ordered Sousouris held on $50,000. If the defendant were to post bail, Judge Virzi set conditions of his release: stay away and have no contact with all children under 18; surrender his passport; no internet access; cannot possess a firearm and must surrender firearms in his possession; and GPS monitoring.
His case was continued to August 9 in Westborough District Court.
Sousouris was arrested after an investigation led by Sgt. James C. Crosby of the Grafton Police Department. The investigation is continuing.
