WORCESTER – A Worcester man, one of two who were secretly indicted by a Worcester County Grand Jury in the murder of Samuel Castro, was arraigned today in Worcester Superior Court, according to Worcester County District Attorney Joseph D. Early Jr.

Emil Encarnacion, 19, of 16 Oread Place, Apt. 3, pleaded not guilty to the murder charge before Judge Shannon Frison. He was held without bail and his case was continued to May 17 for a pre-trial conference.

A second suspect, Connor Ferguson, 19, of 8 Saliminem Drive, Leicester, also secretly indicted for murder, was arrested today. He is expected to be arraigned Monday in Superior Court.

The indictments came after the Grand Jury heard evidence regarding the May 12, 2015 shooting death Samuel Castro, 18, on Frederick Street.
