WORCESTER – A Worcester man has been indicted for murder in the July stabbing death of Lee Daniels on Main Street in Worcester, according to Worcester County District Attorney Joseph D. Early Jr.
A Worcester County Grand Jury handed up an indictment on a single count of murder Wednesday against Jose Luis Morales.
Morales, 20, of 272 Pleasant St., Apt. 8, was arrested in New Jersey in October and returned to Worcester County District Court to face a murder charge in the July 20 stabbing of Lee Daniels.
On July 20, 37-year-old Daniels was found in his car in the YMCA parking lot on Main Street suffering from a stab wound to the chest. He was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment and was pronounced dead a short time later.
Morales will be arraigned on Jan. 18 in Worcester Superior Court.
