WORCESTER – A 96-year-old woman was killed and her 84-year-old sister was critically injured in an early morning, two-alarm fire at 15 Uxbridge St., according to Worcester County District Attorney Joseph D. Early Jr.
Rose Jordan died and Eleanor Rinaldo suffered smoke inhalation. She was admitted to the University of Massachusetts Memorial Hospital in critical condition. Her son John Rinaldo, 48, was treated at the scene for smoke inhalation. All three lived in the home.
The fire was reported at 2:47 a.m. The two-story, wood-frame home was destroyed. The fire, which is not considered suspicious, remains under investigation by the Worcester Fire Department.
