UXBRIDGE – Three men and a woman are being held without bail on drug trafficking and gun charges for arraignment tomorrow in Uxbridge District Court, according to Worcester County District Attorney Joseph D. Early Jr.
Clerk Magistrate John F. Kennedy ordered the defendants held without bail after Assistant District Attorney Krista Wallace filed a motion for a dangerousness hearing. A judge will consider that motion at the defendants’ arraignment tomorrow.
The arrests were made yesterday after search warrants were executed simultaneously at 4 North St., Douglas, and 502 Douglas St., Uxbridge. The search warrants were the culmination of a long investigation by the Douglas and Uxbridge Police Departments. They were assisted by the Blackstone Valley Drug Task Force, the Massachusetts State Police Detectives assigned to the Worcester County District Attorney’s Office, and agents from the Worcester DEA Tactical Diversion Squad.
“These arrests are the result of great teamwork involving state, local and federal law enforcement agencies,” Mr. Early said.
The search warrants led to the seizure of an assault rifle, a handgun, more than 300 grams of cocaine, more than three pounds of marijuana and several thousand dollars. Three vehicles were also seized.
