WORCESTER — A city man has been charged with murder in the Tuesday morning stabbing death of a 29-year-old man on Cutler Street, according to Worcester County District Attorney Joseph D. Early Jr.
Josue Rios, of 29 Cutler St., was found stabbed near his home at about 1 a.m. Tuesday. He was transported to UMass Memorial Hospital where he died.
An investigation by Worcester Police led to the arrest of Benjamin Willie, 20, of 137 Dorchester St. He is scheduled to be arraigned on the murder charge on Monday in Worcester Central District Court.
Mr. Willie had been arraigned yesterday in Worcester Central District Court on charges of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon causing serious bodily injury; and willful and malicious destruction of property. He is being held without bail pending a dangerousness hearing also set for Monday.
