Budget Officer Sent to Jail for Stealing School Funds

WESTBOROUGH – The former budget officer for the Northborough-Southborough Regional School District pleaded guilty today in Westborough District Court on charges related to the theft of more than $380,000 from the district’s accounts, according to Worcester County District Attorney Joseph D. Early Jr.

Christopher P. Hoey, 35, of 15 Great Road., Stow was sentenced to 2 years in the Worcester County House of Correction after pleading guilty to a charge of larceny over $250 by a common scheme. He also pleaded guilty to a charge of larceny over $250 and was sentenced to three years of supervised probation by Judge David B. Locke. The probation period will begin after he completes the jail sentence.
