UXBRIDGE – Glenn Armstrong was ordered held without bail today after he was arraigned in Uxbridge District Court on a charge of murder in the January death of his 83-year-old father, according to Worcester County District Attorney Joseph D. Early Jr.
Not guilty pleas were entered on behalf of Armstrong on charges of murder, misleading a police investigation, larceny of a motor vehicle and failing to provide a DNA sample. Judge Gerald A. Lemire continued the case to April 21 for a pre-trial conference.
Armstrong was arrested on Jan. 12 in Mount Laurel, N.J., one day after his father, Walter Armstrong, was found dead in the home they shared at 36 Summer St., Blackstone.
A warrant for murder was issued for Armstrong out of Uxbridge District Court last month. Armstrong at first fought his return to Massachusetts, before waiving rendition last week. He was brought back to Massachusetts today.
