Webster Man Struck by Police Cruiser

WEBSTER – A man was hospitalized last night after he was hit by a police cruiser, according to Worcester County District Attorney Joseph D. Early Jr.

Jai Hylton, 18, of 10 Prospect St. was transported to UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester where he remains hospitalized.

Sgt. Thomas Ralph responded to the report of a fight between two men at 10 Prospect St. at about 10:30 p.m. He entered a parking lot off Prospect Street and proceeded to the rear of the building. The parking lot takes a sharp right turn behind the building. The cruiser hit Mr. Hylton who was lying on his back in the parking lot.

The State Police Detectives assigned to Worcester County District Attorney’s Office are investigating the incident.
