Detectives Investigate Death of 10-Week-Old in Mendon

WORCESTER – State Police Detectives are investigating the death of a 10-week-old boy in Mendon that occurred Tuesday evening, according to Worcester County District Attorney Joseph D. Early, Jr.

The boy was discovered unresponsive at the Bethany Church Day Care Center on Cape Road around 5 p.m. by his mother who had arrived to pick him up. The baby was taken to Milford Regional Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

There are no signs of foul play at this time. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner has accepted the case and will determine cause of death. The death remains under investigation by the State Police Detectives assigned to the Worcester County District Attorney’s office and Mendon Police.
