DA Early, IFB Work to Stop Insurance Fraud

WORCESTER – The Office of Worcester County District Attorney Joseph D. Early Jr. and the Insurance Fraud Bureau are working together to eliminate insurance fraud and help reduce automobile insurance premiums for all drivers.

Mr. Early’s office has prosecuted more than 100 such fraud cases since 2007. The IFB has assisted by providing an annual grant to help fund the investigation and prosecution of these cases.

Representatives of the IFB presented Mr. Early with a check today for the program. IFB investigators, local police, District Attorneys and insurance company investigators work together to detect, investigate, prosecute and prevent automobile insure fraud.
